Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) for Mortgage Licensing Act
The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) requires employees of federally regulated lending institutions who act as mortgage loan originators (“MLOs”) to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (“Registry”).
Each Bank of the Cascades MLO is registered with the Registry and has a unique identification number.
If you would like to review the background of any Bank of the Cascades MLO, find the MLO’s unique identification number at the bottom of this page and then go to www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org to perform a search. Please note:
- All consumer purpose loans secured by a mortgage, deed of trust or other equivalent consensual security interest on a dwelling are subject to this Act
- Affected products include – Home Equity Lines of Credit, junior liens, construction loans, purchase, refinance and reverse mortgages
